Here are some more examples of my own leatherwork: (click on the thumbnails to see a larger version of the scan)

One of my favourite stamped belt patterns - the stamping is quick, but dying the pattern with a very thin artist brush and oil based dye, takes some time. The belt is 1 1/2 inch wide.

I carved this cover for my bound leathercrafting magazines. The design comes from a paperback science fiction novel.

The front cover of my Leathercraft notebook - if you use some imagination, you can see a round knife and a swivel knife (my own new design).

The back of the Leathercraft notebook cover - inspired by the grand master leathercrafter, Bill Stockill of South Africa. The brown border is stylized imitation wood done with a swivel knife.

A placque I made in South Africa for the Federation of Southern African Leathercrafters
It had on carving, dying, goldleaf , pyrography (burning) and acrylic metalic paint.
The design was drawn by a student of mine (doodling in class!).

Part of the original design of the previously seen plaque.

A purse I made for my wife (sized to hold dollar bills) using Tommy McLintic's frogskin finish (See Link at the top 'Faux Frogskin').

Detail of the frogskin effect achieved by using three sizes of smooth seeders (See Link at the top 'Faux Frogskin').

This marbling I did on leather myself - in the same way that calligraphers do on paper. The file is a bit large, but well worth downloading.
You are then welcome to save it and use it as a wallpaper for your Windows.

... and here is some work of other people:

This very delicate broach was made by Carol Gehrman, new Chairman of the Headwaters Leatherguild here in the Twin Cities.
Remember, it is only a bit more than an inch high and attached to a black card with her name and logo on.

Here is some marbling done on leather in the 1920's. I inhereted this piece of leather from long deceased family who ordered it from England around 1924. Can anyone help - I want to know how it was done! Please e-mail me if you can.
